The Circus is in town,,,, and I'm NOT happy!

Well, the Cole Brothers Circus rolled into town early this morning to set up for their weekend full of shows. So, I (we) have got some work to do. My sister, myself and Terri( Terri helps me with my Dogs Deserve Better Work) are all heading down after work to protest the circus and the HORRIBLE things they do to the Elephants (along with all the other animals they have performing in this horrible show). So many people pay good money to see these shows while they are totally unaware of what goes on behind the scenes of how these animals are trained. It's very sad and if you have the strength, go to www.circuses.com to learn more. It's a NIGHTMARE!! :(

Lucy has this thing for really large sticks!

She walked around the yard on Sunday with this stick for what seemed like forever. It really was funny!
She acts like a really big dog,,,,, this stick really was longer than she was!

What a sweet face she has! She's my big girl! :)

Red Tide Update

Believe it or not, there is a toll free number that you can call to get updates throughout the state of Florida for this red tide crap. Yeah, well, I just called it to see if there was red tide present today in Gulf County where we were with the dogs and there have been reports of people with breathing problems and eye/throat irritations. The level of the bacteria present was low to moderate. All of the dogs got in the water today and I am sleeping with only one eye closed tonight, you can bet your bottom that Im not letting them out of my sight for the next 24 hours! Great... here comes the drama queen!

Bath Time

The only thing I hate about going to the beach is that the dogs get so dirty and they all have to have a bath right when we get home......it's a LOT of work bathing four dogs. Bill and I have worked out a great buddy system on this and we have gotten it down pretty good~

Lucy's First Trip to the Beach

Well,,, today was Lucy's firt trip to the beach,,, to say the least, she had a great time! Look at her ears,,, they are covered in sand!! :) She even went swimming and even though her legs are so short,,,, she is a great little swimmer!
She had a lot of fun running around everywhere. Even though some people here let their dogs run free on the beach, always keep ours on the leash. I'm just to scared that Duke is gonna chase a sea gull right into the road or something.

Bloodshot eyes!

Dang! Now there's a beautiful dog... all 88lbs of him!

We had fun but it is not EASY taking four dogs to the beach!

The car ride home is always pretty peaceful because they are always sooooo pooped! Case doesn't look very comfortable does he?

If you look closely, you can see a tear rolling out of her left eye,,,,, she was so sad to leave the beach she actually cried! I am not joking,, I wiped the tear from her eye with her towel. Okay, maybe it was from the salt water. :)

Darcy is always the first one asleep on the way home.

Nite nite~
When we first got to the beach, we almost left when we saw all the dead fish and sea snakes from the Red Tide last week. Then we looked at the water and saw no signs of the Red Tide and we also saw people swimming,, so we stayed and even let the dogs swim too,,, I was nervous at first though because I didn't want them getting sick. But everything was fine!

The dogs kept trying to smell the fist,, Darcy even managed to pick one up! I almost threw up!

Yucky Dead fish! Everywhere!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUKE!

Happy Brithday to our big boy DUKE! Since we don't know when his real date of birth is (he was a stray when we took him in) we are celebrating his birthday on the day that we found him which was one year ago today! When we found him, he was almost 20 lbs underweight and bleeding from several places on his face (an obvious fight with another dog perhaps). Now he's healthy (88lbs) and very happy. We'll have to make him a cake and celebrate when his daddy gets home on Wednesday! :)

This is Henry,,,, I rescued him from an abandoned wharehouse ......... SIKE! Before all of you start gasping for air (because that would mean FIVE dogs for Bill and I) Henry is NOT my dog. However, my friend Lisa, who was one of my bridesmaids in my wedding, did adpot Henry from a shelter in Indianna. How cute is he? I just wanna kiss him! I couldn't help but put his picture on my blog and make all of you have a heart atack! Love you Henry! :)

So, the whole month of September is gonna be a little rougher than it has been. I love and miss you very much babe! Hurry home will ya? :)

Go Gators! Bridget has good taste in football! :)

This is Bridget (on the right) and her sister. Bridget and I work together at State Farm and she was at the Gator Game this weekend to see poor Troy State loose. Just had to post on yet another great win! :)

Opening Game Day and Starting the Season off right,,,, GO GATORS!

In the car on the way to the game. We drove to Gainesville from St. Augustine. It was about an hour and a half drive. This is Matthew (Bill's little brother) sitting on Deb's (Bill's step mom)lap and Nathan, Matthew's friend. :) I put temporary tatoos on the boys and Nathan wanted me to put his on his forehead. As you can see, I didnt.

Bill's mom and Stepdad, Bob (aka Dr. Bob) before the game. We gotta get them some orange and blue huh?

Bill's brother Tom and Lisa. Speaking of Orange and blue,, looks like Tom and Lisa forgot theirs too! :)

Alberta and Albert,,,,,, only Gator fans would understand :)

Bill Sr. and Debbie. Debbie graduated from FSU, what a sport huh? She's a very good FAKER!

Our tailgate party. Had a few unwanted guests (fireants) thank goodness for my itch stick!
Setting up the food.

Bill's dad and Deb ordered BBQ from a local restaraunt in St. Augustine called L&W. The pulled pork was AWESOME. Deb also made this strawberry and Spinach salad that was topped with peanut brittle that eveyone LOVED,,,, ofcourse, I wouldn't know,, but it did look very good! :)

William Gregory Adams Sr. and William Gregory Adams Jr. Everyone keeps asking when the 3rd is coming.......stay tuned! :)

They say it's great to be a Florida Gator,,, yeah, well, today it didnt feel so great. It was hotter than H-E double hockey sticks (that was for you mom) and pretty darned crowded. ICK!

How about these seats? 40 yard line row 31. Pretty nice!

After the game. We all decided to leave after the third quarter to visit and eat and drink some more (since it was so obvious that poor W. Kentucy didnt have a shot to do anything worth staying for). Here is Bob, Mom, Tom, Bill, Dad and Debbie.

Bill's Dad with his boys and their ladies. Bill's dad with his lady too! :)

Group shot.

Tired and Hot. Pretty worn out. Thanks Dad and Debbie for such a great time. We had a ball. As always it was great seeing you and anytime you need company to fill those seats, just let us know. Thanks for everything. We Love Ya'll!
