On Friday night, we left Michigan and flew to New York to meet up with Bill's mom and Bob. They were there visiting Bob's parents who have never met Liam. So we arrived just in time for a late night dinner and dessert and Breakfast the next morning, then we headed home. It was so nice seeing Bob's folks!

Mackinac Island, Michigan
The next morning, on Thursday, after arriving at Houghton Lake, we got up early and took a day trip up to Mackinac Island. It's about a 2 hour drive north, then you take a 20 minute ferry over to the Island. What a treat, if you ever get a chance to go, you won't be disappointed. No cars are allowed on the Island, only bicycles and horse carriages.

What a day! We had a great time and we hope to be able to visit again!

The Grand Hotel from The ferry boat. Originally built in the late 1800's, this place is beautiful! Reminded me of being on the Titanic.
Liam looks so funny is this pic~ :)

Houghton Lake, Michigan
When we got back from St. Augustine late monday, we took Tuesday to unpack, do laundry and repack for a flight bright and early Wednesday to head to Michigan. We flew into Flint then drove about 2 hours north to Houghton Lake to meet up with Bill's dad, Debbie and Matthew where they were renting a lakeside cottage on Houghton Lake. Bill was born in Michigan and has many fond memories of visiting Houghton lake as a child. It was a special treat for him to be able to share this with Liam and I.

St. Augustine, Florida
On Sunday, the day after our fishing trip Bill, Liam and I got up very early to drive to St. Augustine to attend the funeral of one of Bill's friends. After the funeral service we had dinner at the Caddy Shack located at the World Golf Village. We've been there numerous times but this time we were able to catch some good pics. We headed home the next day, on Monday.
