Today, Liam said "mama". Not sure if anyone else would have understood it. I did. Bill did. That's all that matters. :)

Silly boy!

Liam outgrew his Baby Bjorn, so we ordered the Ergobaby carrier. It's great cause you can wear him "backpack" style on your back as well as the front. My mom even tried it out. Liam loves it!

My Promise to you.....

Liam, I promise to always be the best mommy god allows me to be. I promise to never leave your side (unless you want me to) and to always be there for you. You are the light of my life and I am so thankful you are ours! You amaze me with your endless smiles and laughter. Thank you for changing me and challenging me to be a better human being. I will be forever grateful to you!

I could never imagine being without you, even for a day. I love you always~~~~~

A Special Treat

Out of all places in the world guess where Capt. Adams had a layover last night? None other than the Spring Break Capital of the World, Panama City, Florida. Bill has been flying for ASA, Delta Connection for nearly five years and this was the very first time he was able to come home on a layover. He gave up his hotel room to come home to sleep in his own bed with his family. While we were eating dinner, he said "it's nice I'm getting paid for this right now". It sure was a special treat to have him home unexpectedly even if he had to leave at 0530 this morning.

Liam's new game

Liam likes to wave bye bye. My sister, my mom and I were out shopping today and Liam was in his stroller looking at a lady in the store. I was talking to my mom and happened to look over at Liam and he as waving to the lady. The lady had waved to him and he waved back. Although we have seen him wave to us before we haven't seen him wave to anyone outside our family. On top of waving bye bye Liam can:

Run a mile in three minutes
Type 60 words in 10 seconds
Say his A-B-C's
count to ten in Mandarin

ok, no, so he doesn't do any of the above he is still, nursing like a champ and on the verge of crawling. He stands by himself if he is propped up against something like the sofa or coffee table. At his 6 month check up he weighed 19.4 lbs and was 27 inches long. He is now 19.9 lbs and a little over 27 inches. He wears mostly 9 month clothes and some 12 month. He is now wearing a size 3 in Pampers. Needless to say he's a big boy!

Liam loves avocado

quite possibly the best invention ever. Mesh feeders! Liam got to enjoy avocado yesterday without me having to worry about choking. Today, he had a big chunk of banana.

Atlanta Pics

About two weeks ago, Bill, Liam and I went to Atlanta so Liam could meet his Great Gradma Mejia. Grandma Mejia is from Jackson, MI. She is Bill's mom's mom. Bill's Aunt Maria also came to meet Liam. It was so nice visiting with everyone and we hope to see you all again very soon!

Thank you Jesus

I had a beautiful mother's day yesterday. But for a big part of the day, I was really down. Bill was gone and I was sad that I did not get to celebrate my first mother's day with him AND Liam. Then I read something today that made me realize just how lucky I am to have a healthy, happy beautiful baby boy in my life. I am thankful that things like this often come up to make to stop to realize my blessings. Even on the ugliest days, when Liam is tired and cranky and Bill is thousands of miles away, I have to stop and be thankful for what I have. Some people just aren't as lucky. Thank you god for our little Angel. Especially for his health and happiness.

Last Wednesday Sasha went missing. My mom went nuts. We ran an ad in the local paper and 6 days later,,,,,,tadah! She's home. A nice couple in the neighborhood had her and returned her after they saw the ad.
