More Pics of our little man!!

Bill's dad, Deb, and Matthew all came over from St. Augustine last weekend to meet Liam. Thanks again for all your help and for all the lunches and dinners!!!

Liam asleep on Bills chest.

My brother and a very proud Uncle! :)

He loves being in his daddy's arms.

This baby loves to smile!

Here we are!

Now that things have started to calm down a bit, I thought I would finally update our blog with some recent pics of our little man! Things have been so crazy and who would have known that a person could actually function on such little sleep! I cant believe that Liam has been in our lives for a week and a half now,, it literally seems like yesterday that we were in the hospital.

Here I am, about 24 hours into labor,, at this point I was so exhausted and dont even remember Bill taking this picture of me.
Bill and Liam in the nursery. I was still in the Operating room here, Bill had just left me to go with the nurses to the nursery as they were closing me up.

Liam asleep with me in the bed,, not to worry, I was awake the whole time he was in bed with me here and Bill was too.
Bill with Liam on day two in the hospital. Bill stayed with me the entire time in the hospital. He was and still is my savior. He took such great care of me, and although we had such a great team of nurses in the post partum unit,, Bill did a much better job with me than any of them ever could have.... Bill, Im not sure if I have told you yet,, But a HUGE thank you for being the world's greatest husband and now the world's greatest daddy,,, we love you so VERY MUCH!!! You are the best and no words could ever replace the amount of gratitude I have.

Tita Jen and Baby Liam,, Looks like he is smiling here too huh?

Checking In

Thanks to everyone for all the nice comments you left on my sisters blog. This has been such a crazy week and cant beleive that my water broke almost a whole week ago! I feel like I just gave birth yesterday. I got all 18 of my staples out today and am feeling much better. Liam had his first follow up apt with his pediatrician and everything looks great. He has developed a hint of jaundice by his Dr. said it will go away on its own without any treatment within a week. Thats it for now,,, I will check in soon.

Update

Still Sick,,,,much better, but still sick. I finished my last dose of antibiotics today. I just hope I can get over this last little hump that keeps lingering before I go into labor. We had a Dr. apt with our midwife on Wed. I am 1 cm dialated and 60% effaced, so it looks like Liam is making his way down and into the birth canal. I have been having contractions off and on all week, especially today and tonight. My parents were just about to take me to the hospital a few minutes ago and things settled down a bit,, this is a good thing considering Bill is flying from Cincinatti to Providence as we speak. He does know that I am having contractions and was really nervous when I called to tell him,,, but I think we're going to be okay for at least tonight anyway. Maybe I should finish packing my hospital bag,, the stuff is all layed out, I just need to throw it into my bag. Wish us luck,,, I sure hope Bill makes it home VERY soon,, right now, he is scheduled to be home Sunday night.

Poor Bill

Well,, guess who's sick now? There was pretty much no way of him escaping this one, but he got sick pretty quick and pretty yucky. Lucky for him, he's able to take whatever he wants cause he's not pregnant, but he still feels pretty bad. Hasnt been a very good past couple of days for us. Hope we both get back to normal soon.

Still Sick

Well, I'm still really sick, I called my Dr's office this morning and told them that I have already gone thru a box of Zyrtec (which I was told to take) and still not feeling very well. So, Dr. Ingram called in a antobiotic for me, which is a 5 day course to clear things up. I am so hestitant to take any medications while pregnant but I did some research and even called Dr. Bob (bill's step dad who is a pediatrician) to get his advice and I feel much better about taking it now. So, hopefully in a few days or so I will be back to normal. I am so glad that Bill is home with me now,,, But i feel bad for him cause now he's running around town for me and not really doing much for himself.....that's it for now. Off to take a nap!

One sick Mama

Oh my goodness,,, I dont when the last time was that I was this sick,, the last time I remember was in Sept on 2004. I was in bed for 5 days and this time around I missed work on Thurs,,,, managed to stumble in on Friday (Not a good idea by the way) and still sick today,,, a little worse today than the previous days. I am going to try to get squeezed in with my midwife tomorrow. Thank GOODNESS Bill is on his way home tonight. Im worried that with me being sick, little Liam is also miserable and I surely dont want that to be the case,, poor litle guy is miserable enough Im sure. Our next apt for me to get checked for Liams progress is on Wed.

Liam's Nursery

Well,,, although it's not completely finished, I thought we would go ahead and post a picture. Some people have been asking when we were going to get the nursery done and even though its not done,, it's close enough. We are just waiting on the glider that Bill's dad and Debbie got for us and when that arrives it will pretty much be done, with the exception of a little wall decor. So, that's it, Liam's stomping ground has arrived!

No comment,,,,,dog lovers will understand.

Baby Shower

Well, it came and went. What an exhausting weekend, especially for a pregnant woman. We were so lucky to have Bill's mom and Bob and Bills Grandma Mejia come. Also, Bills Dad, Debbie and Bills little brother also made the trip. We had such a great time. We got so many great gifts and thank you so very much to everyone who was there. We had 33 people at our shower! A nice crowd it turned out to be. For pics of the shower you can visit my sisters blog at www.jenandbrandonsblog.blogspot.com. Excuse the whale in all the pics,, it happens to be me! :)

It's the Final Countdown

Well,,, it hit me last night while talking to Bill that things are really coming FAST! We've got 7 weeks and 1 day to go til our due date. Our baby shower is next weekend, and we still have a ton of things to do to get ready for Liam's arrival. While Bill says he is so excited for Liam's arrival I can't help but wonder if he's a little nervous too? I did ask him and he said yes, but it was a "good" nervous. I've been around a few babies (4 actually) in my immediate family so I think my "mommy" instincts will kick in pretty naturally, that part I'm not that worried about. What I am worried about is my lack of sleep when we bring Liam home from the hospital. Im the type of person that NEEDS sleep to function properly but from what I hear I can hang that up for a good 4 weeks or so....Where there's a will, there's a way though right? I have to keep telling myself that. :)
Other than painful feet and night sweats, and a sour tummy now and then things have been going great! I still have mild contractions every day or so, but only a few. I noticed my belly dropping a bit which must mean things are getting close. Some close to us are convinced the little guy is going to make an early apperance,, we have a bet going on in my office, so far they are saying Oct. 15 and Oct. 17. Im saying about 10 days early on Oct 20th...... we will see. As long as he is healthy, I dont care when he comes as long as he doesnt come late! :) Thats is for now,,, I'll try to get an updated pic up soon, maybe when Bill comes home this weekend.

8 weeks, 2 days to go!

Well,,, Thurs. and Fri. of last week I was having more mild contractions, the Dr. sent me home from work on Fri and said off my feet for the rest of the day and to take it easy for the rest of the weekend (as if I do anything else these days,, what does he expect for me to do,, go sky diving?).
So, ofcourse Bill was in New York, but my sister was nice enough to go to my Dr. visit with me where they wanted to check things out on Ultrasound to make sure everything was okay. My sister lives with a camera glued to her hands so she was able to capture this photo. Is it just me, or does my belly look big? :) haha!

Stretch Marks???

Mother's friend? Cocoa Butter? Baby oil? No, this is what I have been using from the first day I found out I was pregnant. It's very creamy and it stays on all day, and I love the smell! This is my second jar, so you can see it lasts a long time. Bill surprised me and it was waiting for me when I got home from work today. For $35 , its a pretty good deal.......so far so good,, no stretch marks yet. ( and I hope it stays that way).

15 Things that Change When You Have a Baby

I was reading a baby website today and came across the following. Some of them really touched me and although our baby is not yet here,, he is definately here in spirit and I can ALREADY relate, especially with # 10 and 13. Even though I can't look at our baby yet, I am constantly finding myself looking at my belly wondering what he's doing in there and wondering what he looks like. :)

1. You finally stop to smell the roses, because your baby is in your arms.

2. Where you once believed you were fearless, you now find yourself afraid.

3. The sacrifices you thought you made to have a child no longer seem like sacrifices.

4. You respect your body ... finally.

5. You respect your parents and love them in a new way.

6. You find that your baby's pain feels much worse than your own.

7. You believe once again in the things you believed in as a child.

8. You lose touch with the people in your life whom you should have banished years ago.

9. Your heart breaks much more easily.

10. You think of someone else 234,836,178,976 times a day.

11. Every day is a surprise.

12. Bodily functions are no longer repulsive. In fact, they please you. (Hooray for poop!)

13. You look at your baby in the mirror instead of yourself.

14. You become a morning person.

15. Your love becomes limitless, a superhuman power.

7 months along today

Well, I am 7 months along today,,,,28 weeks down,, 12 to go! I have been very uncomfortable at night, and not to mention very hot! Because I'm not sleeping well at night, I wake up exhausted, then I have to put in 9 hours at the j-o-b! By the time I make it home I'm crawling in the door. This all came on this week though,, maybe I'm just having an "off" week or something, cause otherwise I have been feeling great. My craving is still GRAPEFRUIT! Not so much pineapple anymore,, kinda got tired of that one,, so now it's still grapefruit and sherbets! Yummy! Our next Dr. apt is Aug 18th. It's the last of our 4 week apts, then we go to every two weeks then at 9 months it's every week til I deliver. Our baby shower will be on Sept. 20th. I am REALLY looking forward to this because Bills family from Michigan, Atlanta and St. Augustine will be here. My sister has taken on the stressful resposibility of planning the big event and trying to figure out what I want to eat , I told her,, oh just some "grapefruit"! No,,, really,,, I guess she and I are coming up with what I hope to be a very good menu. It wont be your "typical" baby shower, ours will be held at 5pm on a Saturday. I didn't really want it to be during the day,, it's just so HOT right now. I try my best to hibernate from 11-3 as much as possible. :) Getting out in the heat when you're 7 months pregnant tends to add 10 degrees to the temperature! It's horrible!!!
Well, that's pretty much it for now. Oh, I have finally finished the baby registry,, what a big task that was,,, but Im done now and it feels pretty good. Oh,, one more thing,, I wanted to literally slap one of my clients in the office the other day,, she said,, "oh, you look so much better today,,, the last time I was in you looked so swollen"! I mean,,, who says that to someone??? Granted, she was 78 years old, and she may be loosing her marbles,, but come on! That was so wrong...I wanted to tell her,,, "Look lady! How about kissing my you know what! :) Okay,,, thats it for now,,, Im missing Bill, so I feel like Im just posting a bunch of nonsense.... He left this morning,, He'll be home Monday night,,,, :(

After a VERY big dinner

Maybe I shouldn't have posted this pic, but whatever! My Aunt Letty had a b-day on Monday so we all went out to dinner to celebrate. I feel like the bigger my tummy gets, the less food it can hold. I really didnt eat that much, but afterwards, I was miserable. I felt like my tummy was soooo big (okay, I know it really is) it was about to explode, and for some reason "airing" it out makes me feel better....why is that?

A Trip to the Labor and Delivery Floor

Last Thursday I had some weird "stuff" going on, I called my Dr. and spoke to one of the nurses. After she asked her questions, and I gave her my answers, she said "sorry, but you need to go ahead and go to the hospital". I got there. they hooked me up to see if I was contracting ( I wasnt) and the nurse checked to see if I was dilating (boy, was that fun!) and I wasn't so once my Dr. got there, he did his thing and home I went. Better safe than sorry I guess.

About to go stroller shopping

This photo was actually taken a couple of weeks ago, I just havent had the time to really update the blog lately. Bill and I were about to go stroller shopping and out of all the things we have needed to shop for. the stroller "travel system" has been such a headache. There are so many to choose from and there are a lot of really neat ones out on the market. We think we have finally found the one we're going to go with. We'll see though how many times it changes. :)

Dr. ordered bed rest

Well,,, I'm on bedrest thru tomorrow. It all started yesterday, when I got up around 7am, I got in the shower and started noticing pain in my lower abdomen. I thought absolutely nothing of it. However 2 hrs later while I was at work, it only got worse. It felt like really bad menstrual cramps. I called my Dr. They told me to drink two big glasses of water (dehydration seems to play a big role in preterm contractions) and go home and lie down for two hours. If at the end of the two hours, the pain in still there to give them a call back. Well, two hours passed and the pain was still there. I called the Dr. office and they told me to come in. Turns out, I was (still am) having contractions that average anywhere between 5-20 minutes apart. Dr. Ramey told me if they get to be 5 minutes apart for 1 hr straight that I need to go to the Labor and delivery depart. at the hospital. I was in bed all day yesterday and all day today and its not helping. One good thing is the pain isnt getting worse but its also not getting any better which is concerning to Bill and I. We paln to call the Dr. first thing in the morning to see if he will suggest something else.... Im not real sure what to think at this point. Wish me luck, or better yet, text me, call me, send me an email, leave me a message here or something, Ill be here,, sitting in bed! :)

Yummy to my big fat Tummy! :)

In the last two weeks or so, I can not seem to get enough of grapefruit, pineapples and oranges! I eat them with lunch then again with or after my dinner! I LOVE it! Dont get me wrong, I have also had my craving for rocky road ice cream ( i have since swtiched to fat free sherbets though) but when its so hot outside, I love the fruit nice and cold! YUM! :)

Gold Star Cincinatti Chili

You will either love this stuff, or hate it. I fell in love with Cincinatti Chili a while back when living in Orlando with a few room-mates. A friend of Ashley's would come over from time to time and make Cincinatti Chili for us (Lisa, if you are reading this, you will remember John making this). Well, its not like "chili".... its thin and its served over spaghetti with shredded cheddar. Well now, everytime Bill is in Cincinatti, I ask him to bring some home,,, and I scored today! The pregnant girl is happy, I love this stuff. Bill is on his way home with my Cincinatti Chili,,, I'm easily pleased! :)

How do you fall in love with someone you already love?

It's kind of weird, but since becoming pregnant, I dont really see Bill as just my husband anymore, and even though we're not technically parents yet, I feel like we both have these new roles that we play. I love Bill more than I ever thought I could, I miss him even more when he's away now and I can't wait to see him as a "daddy"! He's very protective over "us". The things we do, the things we eat, the air that we breathe ( he doesnt like me being around chemicals). Thank you Bill for being so loving. I love you!

Jennifer (my twin sister) will be having surgery tomorrow and she is pretty scared. SHe has never had surgery before, but I am trusting someone above to take control and I am convinced that everything will be okay. For details on her surgery you can visit her blog located under "friends" to the left. Thanks everyone, I wont be there but both my parents and Brandon will be with her.

20 weeks and half way there!

Well, tomorrow we officially hit the half way mark and I have been feeling very good lately. I've flown a few times in the last few weeks to spend some time with Bill in ATL and probably will put flying off now until the baby arrives, although our practioner says its safe, she is only concerned with pre-mature labor in the third trimester,, I'll just keep myself on the ground for now, just to play it safe. Not to mention, now is the PEAK time for Florida thunderstorms and that always makes for a nasty ol' ride anyway,,,, puke! We've been busy nursery furniture shopping,, picking out decor and emptying out the baby's room. It's now totally empty,, just waiting installation of the wood floors so we can get some furniture in there. THats pretty much it for now..... I will keep you all updated.

Bumps in the Night???

okay, okay,, get your minds out of the gutter. I got up early this morning (like I alway do) to empty my bladder at about 0330 am and when I came back to bed, I turned to lay on my left side as I cuddled up to my body pillow and then it happened,, two little butter-fly flutters right below by belly button! I have been waiting for this and finally I know, with no doubt, Billy Jr, was settling back in after being rudely awakened by his mama! :) I smiled to myself, as Bill was snoring right next to me, and fell back asleep,,, what nice little feeling! :)

18 weeks?????

When we were at the Doctor's office today, I asked our ultrasound tech if I looked bigger than I should at 18 weeks and she said, actaully you look smaller than some,,, I was thinking to myself "is this girl crazy"? I had to post this pic cause I still feel like I look really big and my belly is already so tight at only 18 weeks. SHe said,, just wait, it only gets better,, I wanted to smack her! :)

We've always liked BLUE!

Well,,, it's a BOY,,, not two,,, only one! :) I went with full bladder (as instructed) and as soon as the ultrasound tech put the thing on my belly she said who! well, its definately a boy,,, it was really funny. We are very happy and now we have some shopping to do. Neither of us were surprised, we already kind of had a feeling it was a boy, so today just confirmed things for us. We also go all of our bloodwork back, all tests were negative for CF, downs syndrome, sickle cell anemia and trisomy 18,, that is very comforting to know. Thank you lord.........Hopefully he will continue to bless us as he has during this very exciting time for us. Till next time.

Big Day Tomorrow

Well tomorrow we get to find out if we are having a boy or a girl. I am 18 weeks and three days along as of today, and I feel like Im 6 months pregnant! My belly seems to be a little bigger that it should be so either we're having twins or Im carrying a very big baby,,,, cause I dont seem to have really gained weight anywhere else except for my belly,,, so tomorrow we should know the answer! :) I'll post a pic of my belly and of the ultrasound when we get home.

15 weeks along.......

Well, not much to post. I've been feeling pretty good for the most part. Every couple of days or so, I'll get sick, but it's really gotten so much better! My nails are growing like weeds, I have to keep cutting them back. I actually have a little baby "bump" now and when I get brave enough I might actually post a picture! That might take a while though. I've been getting a little restless throughout the night, my sleep is off but thats to be expected (from what I've read). That's really it. We are really looking forward to finding out the sex of our baby. It will be the first week in June. It was supposed to be May 28th, but Bill is working so we pushed it back so he could be here...... Til next time.

Old Wives Tales

Well, since it will be another month or so before we get to find out the sex of our baby, I decided to have a little harmless fun and partake in some "old wives tales" to see if we are having a boy or a girl. First, I did the ring on a string test, it revealed a boy. Then I did the drano test, it revealed a girl,,,, so, just like I figured, it was all a waste of time,,,,, So, looks like we will be waiting til the end of march to see what we are having! :)

I see the light at the end of the TUNNEL!!!

Well, I hesitated posting this for a fear that it may just be a fluke. In the last week, I have had 4 vomit free days. I really think I just might be closing in on this morning sickness thing. I am a little over 12 weeks along now and entering my second trimester where all the pros say is where it usually tapers off. With the exception of the seafood counter today at Publix literally gagging me , I have felt almost normal again. Still a little nauseas at times , but no vomitting for the last two days..... keep your fingers crossed! THis pregnancy but turn out to be fun afterall! :)

My first craving

When we were in St. Augustine a couple of weeks ago, I ordered a side of wingsauce when I had my "cheeseburger in Paradise". The next day, I wanted HOT buffalo wings, then I discovered Texas Pete in my fridge at home a couple of nights ago,,, I could literally drink this stuff! As a matter of fact,,, i poured some on a saucer last night and just kept dipping my finger in it and licking it off, that was after I put it all over my cheese pizza! I was so afraid it was going to give me heartburn but it didnt! Whew! I LOVE TEXAS PETE! :) No cravings for icecream or pickles or anything else,,, just hot sauce! SO weird huh?

Baby Adams

Well, here he/she is....baby ADAMS!!! What an amazing experience seeing this little human on the ultrasound screen this morning. I think reality has finally sunk in a little! The last time we were in, I was barely 6 weeks along, and although they did an ultrasound, all we really saw was a "blob", nothing more. This time, we got the surprise of a life time, hands, feet, a nose, little lips, ears and everything else. I cried! Bill teared up, it was so great and so undescribable! She tried telling us the sex,, but its still a little early,, the heart rate was 155 bpm but thats all we know for now... could it be,,,,,, a GIRL? Stay tuned....I still think it's a boy.

11 weeks Today

11 weeks along today. I went in to my doctors office unscheduled today because I have been having some pretty nasty headaches and dizziness. They did some blood work and routine office stuff and found that when I stand vs sitting my BP dropped exactly 20 points on both numbers. He said that it should stabalize in the next couple of weeks as well as these migranes I've been getting. He said small meals, plenty of fluids,,,, I'm already doing that. One thing that he did want to check on was the babie's heartbeat. I got to hear it today for the first time and I started crying! It was unbeleivable!! Truly amazing!! I only wish that Bill was there but I really didnt think they were going to do that or I could have asked him to meet me there. We do have another ultrasound next week and hopefully we can hear it then too! I have more blogging to do from our visit over to St. Augustine last weekend but normally when I get home I pass out!!!
Hopefully I can post more from our trip soon,, I have LOTS of pictures!
Jovina, Bill and "fig"
not sure if everyone is catching on or not,, but when I post the baby's signature,, that's the relative size of it as it grows,, notice it keeps getting bigger and bigger, but still so TINY. :)

Moving right along......... 10 Weeks tomorrow.

It's so hard for me to beleive that there is a "person" growing inside of me! To think that it has hands now with little fingers and tiny little feet with toes makes me nearly cry. I still cant beleive that all these amazing things are taking place inside of me. I can tell that my morning sickness is getting better, maybe it was the prenatal vitamins I had been taking because since I have been taking Flinstones, There has been no actual vomitting, just some nasuea, but nothing too severe. I am still very tired, I got to bed at 9pm every night. But I still dont feel like Im getting enough rest. Our next Dr. apt is on April 16th. I will be 1 day short of 12 weeks at that point. We will have an ultrasound and maybe we will get to "hear" our babie's heartbeat,,, how exciting! We will keep you all posted.

My prenatal vitamins- The pukey monster?

Well, here they are, the prenatal vitamin of choice. I have been taking these since before I got pregnant and before I got pregnant I wasnt sick on them once. Now, since I have been so sick lately, I decided to do a little experiment. This week on Monday, I decided to see what would happen if I stopped taking them, I would only get sick in the moring, one time, then nothing the rest of the day. I called my doctor, told her what I was doing and she suggested flinstones. Still at this point I wasnt totaly convinced that it was my vitamins that was making me so sick all the time. I took one last night and I have been terrible sick today. Puked three times before noon! So, that's it, Im off to the drugstore to try the flinstones and see how those work out! Stay tuned!

Another remedy FAILED!!!

Wesleyann, save your money girl! Bill picked up some motion sickness, anti-nausea wrist bands for me yesterday and I can now cross those off the list,,, THEY DONT WORK! At times, I felt like it was actaully worse, Im sure it wasnt worse but they sure as heck didnt work. One thing that I have found that works temporarily is EATING! Well, fo figure huh? I feel sick, I eat, I feel better. Once the food starts to digest, I feel sick again so I can either eat more or go yak... it's a vicious cycle! I would literally have to eat something every hour to keep from vomitting, the nausea never goes away, only the actaully gagging and vomitting does. The problem is trying to find something that I actually want to eat... ohoh! I did find that I am LOVING Tropical Smoothie! The blended fruit, frozen mixture is GREAT! Thanks Lacey! She saved me today, she picked one up for me while she went to lunch. So, that's it for now. Our little "grain of rice" has now grown to a "kidney bean". So, til next time,,,,,

Morning Sickness Nightmare!!!

Oh my! For any mom that has done this more than once, I applaud you! I have been in a living HE** all weekend and nothing is really helping. I'll tell you what Ive been told to do, and yes, I have tried all of these. GInger Ale, Peppermint Candy, Lemon tea, Peppermint tea, saltines. Yet, none of them seem to be working,,, one thing that I have found that HELPS is gatorade and mineral water (perrier). I've pretty much been lying around all weekend with no energy to do much more than that. Needless to say, I am SICK of lying on the couch and Im trying to enjoy the beautiful day outside (even if I am gagging at the same time!) Good news is,, the Dr. said only about 6 more weeks to go! Lord help me!

Big News!

Well, I was going to wait until our first Dr. apt. on Tuesday to post this, but I got bored waiting on Bill to get home today that I decided to go ahead and post this. Most of our family and friends already know anyway so I guess it doesnt really matter anyway. We found out on Thursday morning, Feb 21st that we are going to be parents!! How wonderfully exciting and SCARY at the same time. We have our first Dr. apt this coming Tues to confirm everything and to find out exactly how far along I am. My guess is 6 and a half weeks as of today. Let see what the doc says on Tues. Incase you can't read it, the above message on our photo frame says "There is no such thing as a small moment." This frame was a gift to me from a good friend of mine, Lisa G. How very fitting that quote is for this post huh? I am getting the feeling that this "pregnancy" thing will be no small feat! I got my first taste of the yucky tummy this week. It's no fun. And whoever called it morning sickness obviously doesnt know how to tell time, cause it can happen all day long as mine did yesterday. I just felt so "green" all day. It was gross. No vomiting, just plain queasy with dry- heaving! Anyway, I have a feeling this blog will kind of turn into our "pregnancy" blog for the next 9 months or so. So, stay tuned, we'll let ya all know how Tuesday goes. Bye for now.

Bill comes home tomorrow

This month has been the first full month that Bill has been on reserve and let me tell you, reserve STINKS!!! He has been in Atlanta since Wednesday night and just "waiting" on scheduling to call him. No call yet and his reserve days end tomorrow and then he gets to come home. So, it kind of makes me feel like all this time has been wasted with him sitting in Atlanta where he could be home ya know? I understand this whole "reserve" system and I am fully aware of what to expect but it still stinks! :(

Are you kidding?

I'm not sure who is more pathetic, mom or Dugan. While Jen and Bradnon were on their cruise, mom had the pleasure of keeping Baxter and Dugan. And when I say pleasure, I really mean it. Mom loves these dogs and I think the feeling is Mutual.

Will you be mine?

Tonight I asked Bill if he would be my Valentine. He said yes. I feel lucky that we were able to spend the evening together at home. He leaves early for work tomorrow so we made a wonderful dinner together and Bill found these adorable cookies at the grocery store. Looked great, tasted not so great. Bill ate them, I had Godiva Chocolate cheesecake! Happy Valentines day to all you lovers out there! I sure am glad I found my Valentine! Oh yeah, Lucy asked Case if he would be her Valntine, his response: "No Thanks".

Lucy's first trip to Petsmart

Okay, imagine if you can the following: Lucy's favorite toy is a duck that quacks, imagine her in Petsmart for the first time finding a whole isle full of this stuff! She went straight for the duck! Bill had to keep taking them from her so she wouldnt destroy them. She did very well. Kind of sensory overload for her though. Imagine a hound dog (who lives off their sense of smell) in a brand new place with ALL these different scents. That nose was stuck to the ground like she was on to something. Very interesting to watch.
