After a VERY big dinner

Maybe I shouldn't have posted this pic, but whatever! My Aunt Letty had a b-day on Monday so we all went out to dinner to celebrate. I feel like the bigger my tummy gets, the less food it can hold. I really didnt eat that much, but afterwards, I was miserable. I felt like my tummy was soooo big (okay, I know it really is) it was about to explode, and for some reason "airing" it out makes me feel better....why is that?

A Trip to the Labor and Delivery Floor

Last Thursday I had some weird "stuff" going on, I called my Dr. and spoke to one of the nurses. After she asked her questions, and I gave her my answers, she said "sorry, but you need to go ahead and go to the hospital". I got there. they hooked me up to see if I was contracting ( I wasnt) and the nurse checked to see if I was dilating (boy, was that fun!) and I wasn't so once my Dr. got there, he did his thing and home I went. Better safe than sorry I guess.

About to go stroller shopping

This photo was actually taken a couple of weeks ago, I just havent had the time to really update the blog lately. Bill and I were about to go stroller shopping and out of all the things we have needed to shop for. the stroller "travel system" has been such a headache. There are so many to choose from and there are a lot of really neat ones out on the market. We think we have finally found the one we're going to go with. We'll see though how many times it changes. :)

Dr. ordered bed rest

Well,,, I'm on bedrest thru tomorrow. It all started yesterday, when I got up around 7am, I got in the shower and started noticing pain in my lower abdomen. I thought absolutely nothing of it. However 2 hrs later while I was at work, it only got worse. It felt like really bad menstrual cramps. I called my Dr. They told me to drink two big glasses of water (dehydration seems to play a big role in preterm contractions) and go home and lie down for two hours. If at the end of the two hours, the pain in still there to give them a call back. Well, two hours passed and the pain was still there. I called the Dr. office and they told me to come in. Turns out, I was (still am) having contractions that average anywhere between 5-20 minutes apart. Dr. Ramey told me if they get to be 5 minutes apart for 1 hr straight that I need to go to the Labor and delivery depart. at the hospital. I was in bed all day yesterday and all day today and its not helping. One good thing is the pain isnt getting worse but its also not getting any better which is concerning to Bill and I. We paln to call the Dr. first thing in the morning to see if he will suggest something else.... Im not real sure what to think at this point. Wish me luck, or better yet, text me, call me, send me an email, leave me a message here or something, Ill be here,, sitting in bed! :)
